Size Limitations: Custom wood shutters may be built to sizes up to 15'9" in width in standard woods.

Wood Counter Shutters

Product Applications for Shutters include opening widths up to 15'9" and 8'0" in height. Wood shutters should be specified for pass-through openings, reception windows or any other opening where security and the aesthetic appeal of real wood is needed.

The typical locking mechanism is provided by a thumb-turn dead-bolt and optional cylinder locks can be furnished.

Methods of operation include standard manual push-up for smaller-sized units. Optional Crank and Motor operation are also available.

Standard wood used is RED OAK. But shutters are also available in BIRCH, WHITE OAK, MAHOGANY, PINE, CHERRY as shown below:

Shutters are available in Mahogany, Cherry, Pine, Oak, Birch

Specifications

General: Furnish and install Wood Rolling Counter Shutters distributed by Tri-S Industries, Mississauga, ON. Work not included: preparation of opening; trim, field staining, priming and finishing of wood surfaces; all wires, wiring and disconnect switches if units are motorized.

Curtains: Shall be formed from double rabbeted wood slats, interlocked by means of spring tensioned steel aircraft cables concealed within the slats. Bottom of curtain shall be equipped with a matching wood bottom rail 5 5/8" x 1 5/8".

Guides: Shall be formed from matching wood to provide for face or jamb mounting.

Hoods, Fascias and/or Soffits: May be furnished at optional cost where required. Material used shall be 3/4" finished grade plywood veneer to match curtain bottom rail.

Operation: Shall be manual push-ups, awning crank, tubular drive motor or gearhead motor.

Finishing: Wood surfaces shall be finished sanded. Option for Stain or Varnish finish available.
